“Art has always been my deepest passion, however, I started my college career in the nursing field. During the stress of my nursing days, I could not deny that I found my relief through painting. After I completed a mural in my parent’s home, I took the advice of my family and became an art major. I graduated in December of 2005 with a BA in Fine Arts from Purdue University. When painting, I create a dialogue with my canvas. I truly believe that no matter what the painting starts out to be, the artist has to be open to the changes the canvas demands in order for it to become the painting it was destined to be. The greatest advice I can give to beginning painters is to paint with and listen to your heart. ”
